Coupons & promotions

Coupons reduce what you pay at checkout or top up your token pool. They come from us, from partners, or from our affiliate program.

How to redeem

There are two places you can enter a coupon:

At plan upgrade

1. Profile → Plan → Upgrade
2. Pick the plan
3. Click Apply coupon
4. Enter the code
5. The total updates inline; if invalid, an error appears

The discount is applied to your first charge — for monthly plans, that's the first month; for annual, the whole first year.

At top-up

1. Profile → Plan → Buy top-up
2. Pick a pack
3. Click Apply coupon
4. Enter the code

Top-up coupons can be a discount or bonus tokens (e.g. "buy 500, get 200 extra").

Eligibility

Most coupons are restricted by:

• Plan — some only work on Growth or Pro
• Region — some are India-only, USD-only, etc.
• First-time vs. existing customer — first-time codes won't work if you've ever paid us before
• Workspace age — some require your workspace to be ≥ 30 days old

When a code doesn't apply, the error tells you why ("requires Growth or higher", "first-time customers only", etc.).

Stacking

You can only apply one coupon per charge. We don't stack discounts.

If you have multiple eligible codes, the system picks the one with the best value for you and applies it (this happens automatically — you don't need to compare them).

Affiliate & referral

Every Growth+ workspace gets a referral code under Profile → Referrals. Share it; new customers who use it get a discount, and you get promo tokens when they convert to a paid plan.

Current referral rewards:

Promo tokens behave like top-up tokens — they roll over 90 days and are used after plan tokens.

Partner codes

We have promotional partnerships with a few accelerators, incubators, and community programs. If you came through one, ask them for the partner code; it's usually 3 months free at Growth, or a 50% lifetime discount.

Where to find current promotions

We do not maintain a public "promotions" page (it would just be a target for code-scraping). The reliable channels:

• The Pricing page in-app — current public offer shown at the top
• The thola newsletter — quarterly recap of active codes for subscribers
• Direct from your account manager (Pro and above)

Common questions

Can I retroactively apply a coupon to a charge that already went through? No. Coupons are entered at checkout; they don't retroactively reduce a completed charge. Once a payment is made, only a refund (under the standard policy) can move the money.

Why does my code show as "expired"? Coupons have a validity window. If you got the code more than a few months ago, it's likely past its window. Codes don't get reactivated.

Can I share my referral code on social media? Yes. It's yours.
